Just thought I leave a quick message here.
I am very busy atm so don't have time for the Sims but hopefully i get back to building something soon. I also spotted a lovely new gypsy set "Drifter's Desire" and heard that a new italian inspired world will hit the store in December.......Monte Vista ..... looks great in my opinion :)))) So now that I finished Villa Frogmore I decided to actually play and not only playtest. Whilst playing I encountered 2 bugs that come with Supernatural.
1) "Sliding bookcase door" - works perfect till you move the a lot from its original building spot and place it somewhere else. Your sim will not go through it . Solving this problem is easy - just grab the bookcase door and place it again. 2) "Alchemy station doesn't let you mix elixirs anymore" - Well check out your bags. If you have any SEEDS in your bags remove them (drop them on the floor somewhere) and mixing should be possible again. A few days ago the winners of the Supernatural Building Contest sponsored by the D.N.A Request Team have been announced. I was absolutely shocked and flattered that I won the 1st prize with "The Fairy Godmother's Cottage".
The 2nd price went to Oilbasedoleander (Church of Poinsetta) and 3rd to annin7 (Magic Shopping Mall - which also has been featured on the sims3 facebook page and Exchange). There have been a lot of lovely entries so please go have a look HERE. Just click the entrylist links there and they will take you to the creators entry post with pictures. A big thank you to the very generous D.N.A Request Team and to the judges who had a lot of work to go through all the entries . Here are some links for colour schemes, palettes, generators. I linked them on the bottom of the website but just in case you haven't seen them yet I decided to also make a post :)
They can be very helpful, especially when you are a little afraid to use colours together (like purple and green) or when you want to know what colours go with a mexican, indian, gypsy, steampunk... .... theme. Or even if you want to know the colour codes for the Snow White or Evil Queen dress. By the way I just discovered the Colour Palette Generator. Have you ever seen a picture of a kitchen, bathroom etc. and wanted to create something with similar colours for your sims? Well just copy the url of the picture and paste it where it says "url of image"- it is easy, fun and fast :) Also Kuler has something similar as the Colour Palette Generator but it is a little tricky to find it so here the direct link to get the colours from a picture (either one from your pc or on flickr). You can also drag the white circles on the picture if you want a specific colour. Colourlovers Colorhunter Color Scheme Designer Kuler Colour Palette Generator |
