So, the last couple of days I didn't feel so well, I thought i was coming down with flue but it actually was exhaustion. I wanted to continue with the Monte Vista Castle but I was too tired for that so I then decided to "re-decorate" the Website/Blog. I hope you like it. :)
Just thought I leave a quick message here. I am very busy atm so don't have time for the Sims but hopefully i get back to building something soon. I also spotted a lovely new gypsy set "Drifter's Desire" and heard that a new italian inspired world will hit the store in December.......Monte Vista ..... looks great in my opinion :))))
So now that I finished Villa Frogmore I decided to actually play and not only playtest. Whilst playing I encountered 2 bugs that come with Supernatural.
1) "Sliding bookcase door" - works perfect till you move the a lot from its original building spot and place it somewhere else. Your sim will not go through it . Solving this problem is easy - just grab the bookcase door and place it again.
2) "Alchemy station doesn't let you mix elixirs anymore" - Well check out your bags. If you have any SEEDS in your bags remove them (drop them on the floor somewhere) and mixing should be possible again.
Here are some links for colour schemes, palettes, generators. I linked them on the bottom of the website but just in case you haven't seen them yet I decided to also make a post :)
They can be very helpful, especially when you are a little afraid to use colours together (like purple and green) or when you want to know what colours go with a mexican, indian, gypsy, steampunk... .... theme. Or even if you want to know the colour codes for the Snow White or Evil Queen dress.
By the way I just discovered the Colour Palette Generator. Have you ever seen a picture of a kitchen, bathroom etc. and wanted to create something with similar colours for your sims? Well just copy the url of the picture and paste it where it says "url of image"- it is easy, fun and fast :)
Also Kuler has something similar as the Colour Palette Generator but it is a little tricky to find it so here the direct link to get the colours from a picture (either one from your pc or on flickr). You can also drag the white circles on the picture if you want a specific colour.
Today I faced a new mistery in the sims3 game. I wanted to upload "Esmeraldas Alchemy Shop" but although I "set the front lot" and the nice arrow showed on the ground pointing into the right direction letting me know "yay you did it", the lot was still back to front or rather front to back.
I had to do the following: 1) Convert "community lot" back to "residential lot" 2) Move a sim into the house. 3) Click on the door I wanted to be the front door and "set it as front door" - I was not able to do this while it was a community lot. 4) Move sim out of the house 5) Convert the house back to "community lot" - don't forget to put back tills and items that can only be used in community lots!!! 6) Click on the "front" ground of the "communit lot" and "set as front lot"
I decided to upload a few of my sims3 recolours here as the Sims3 Exchange is driving me slightly nuts with messages like "upload quota reached... delete something from your studio and try again". My houses and sims will still be uploaded on the Sims3 Exchange. Lari :)
